iTunes does not recognize my phone (Windows)

Other Apple apps on Windows conflict with iTunes. Uninstall them, restart, and reconnect.

If iTunes on Windows is not recognizing your phone, or you cannot click the backup button, another Apple app is usually interfering.

    Uninstall Apple Music, if installed.

    Uninstall Apple TV, if installed.

  3. 3

    Uninstall Apple Devices, if installed.

  4. 4

    Restart your computer.

  5. 5

    Open iTunes and connect your phone again.

Tip: Still not connecting? Try a different USB cable. Faulty cables cause more connection problems than you would expect.
