When you start a book, you choose where your messages live: iPhone, Android, WhatsApp, Instagram, and more. The book builder then walks you through each step.
No screenshots, no typing anything out. You export your conversation once and upload the file. Photos, stickers, images, GIFs, and emojis come along with it. GIFs print as their first frame so you can still easily recognize them.
For iPhone messages, yes. A Mac or a Windows PC both work. On a Mac it is super smooth, especially if your messages are already synced, just export the contact you want. On Windows, you make a quick iTunes backup first and our free exporter does the rest. An iPad or the phone by itself is not enough for iPhone exports.
Android and WhatsApp books can be made straight from your phone. Telegram, Discord, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram exports need a computer.
You can always buy now and finish later. Book credits never expire.

Not on the list? There is also a custom option where you enter messages as chat bubbles yourself and add your own photos. It works well for screenshots, handwritten notes, and conversations from apps we do not support yet.

Your book can include the full history of a conversation, as far back as it exists on your phone or in your backup. Many customers print ten or more years of messages.
Messages that were deleted before you export unfortunately cannot be recovered, but everything still in the conversation comes through.

Books hold up to 800 printed pages, which covers years of texting for most conversations.
Once your messages are in, the editor shows your exact page count before anything is printed, so there are no surprises.
The Classic edition includes 400 pages (5 cents per extra page after that); the Forever edition includes the full 800.
When you upload a large conversation, we show you how many books it will take and can split everything into volumes for you automatically. Each book picks up right where the last one left off, titled by its date range.
You can also split at any chapter break yourself, or trim things down. You have full control over which messages make the cut, and volumes look beautiful side by side on a shelf.

Check your spam and promotions folders first. If you are on a work email, filters sometimes catch the link.
You can also set a password using "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. Still locked out? Contact us from the address you purchased with and we will get you signed in.

Voice pages print the voice recordings in your book as scannable QR codes, and we host the audio forever so the codes always play.

If you need your book for a wedding, anniversary, holiday, or any special occasion, order sooner rather than later. Books are made on demand and then shipped, so timing can vary.
The process is smooth most of the time, but delays can happen along the way. We cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date.
For something this personal and sentimental, we encourage playing it safe and giving yourself extra time.
Usually not. Tracking often shows "label created" or "pending" for a day while the carrier picks your book up from the printer.
If it has been stuck longer than that, or a package marked delivered never showed up, send us a message and we will check it out.

Two ways. Make the book yourself and give it to them, or gift a book credit and let them build a book from their own messages.
Gifted credits arrive by email with your personal message, and they never expire.
